For a hard drive you will need a SCSI card in one of the slots. There were some internal Hard Drives, but they were rather expensive when they came out and are rare now. However there are LOTS of small external SCSI drives in "second hand" stores that work well with the machine. You can go to Apple's site and download the disk images for system 6 for the ][gs. You will need some 800k disks (or tape over the hole on some 1.44m disks) to convert the images to floppies. Your Mac should be able to handle this task.
Do a web search and you should be able to dig up software to put this machine to use. I pull mine out once in awhile to give me a perspective on how "fast" mo poor old "stack-o-Macs" is. Have fun1 Ken Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without. -- Apple2list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Apple2list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/apple2.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/apple2list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
