And I seem to remember something about my mother's employer, who was
always sending financial reports back for better formatting or a change
of colour.
There was no reason why to do this since the original reports were clear
and was typical for bookkeeping, but that is the way things are.

This reminded me of a supervisor I knew who sent a report back because
the paper clip was "tarnished". (I am not sure what this meant) Another
report was sent back because the staple was not 45 degrees to the edges.
I believe a report with nothing but blank paper would have been accepted
as long as the paperclip/staple was correct.

I think both of these stories are true since I replaced the supervisor
and this was the first thing I heard about from a number of employees.
