Hi again, people!
It seems that Apple2list works again. I forward a message I tried to
send a couple months ago (and couldn't because it was rejected by the
server with an strange message about an exceeded quota).

Hi, people!
Looking at a page about drive compatibility on Apple computers (both
Apple IIs, IIIs and Macintoshes), I have read that the DuoDisk will
work with the Apple //c (even if you can only use only one of the
drives inside it). Is that true? I recently purchased a DuoDisk for my
//e (it now has three drives!) and it works perfectly. Can I damage
the DuoDisk, the //c or both of them by pluging it? I don't think so
(they seem electrically compatible), but I don't want to try without
knowing because finding a replacement IWM chip can be difficult at
these days...
In the same page I have read that all //cs can use 3.5" drives, but
the very first one need a ROM update - it doesn't say a word about a
IWM chip swap. Of course, my //c is the very first model (the one with
the $FF ID byte). Is it that easy to upgrade a //c in order to use 800
kb. floppys? If only software is needed, can it be done by just using
a recent ProDOS version? It would greatly easy the transfer of data
between my IIs and my Macintoshes and PCs.
For the curious, the page's URL is this:
