Hey folks...

Just a few questions....

I have an ImageWriter II printer attached to my Apple IIGS, but I only seem
to have a plain old "ImageWriter" Chooser driver installed. I can't seem to
find an "ImageWriter II" driver anywhere on my System 6.0.1 disks or any
other disk I have.

I am asking because I am not getting the print quality from the Apple IIGS
that I got when I had the printer hooked up to my Mac Plus. Even when I set
the print quality in the "Print..." dialog box to the "Best" I notice the
print quality is still lacking. Not to mention that the software seems to
override my settings on the printer itself (where you can set the print
quality) and resets to the middle-grade quality, even when the dialog box in
the software is set to "Best". Now it kind of makes sense that the software
will override the hardware's settings, but shouldn't it override it to be
the highest-quality when I have things set to "Best" on the software end?

I have no knowledge of the original ImageWriter printer, or how it differed
from the ImageWriter II. I have never even seen one. In that same vein, I
have no idea if there is even such a thing as an "ImageWriter II" Chooser
driver for the GS but my experience here makes me think that there may be.

Is there such a driver for ImageWriter II's? Where can I get it?

Also, is it possible to hook up a Apple StyleWriter 2400 to an Apple IIGS?
Are there drivers available? How about a Hewlett Packard DeskWriter 400 or
660C?
