IIRC, the Stylewriters won't work with the GS (at least with 8-bit 
software) because they need to get all their font info from the OS.  It 
MAY be that they'll work with 16-bit software, maybe running Pointless, 
but I've never had any experience with that.

I have a Stylewriter II hooked up to a Powerbook 520c and also a PB 5300c. 
I would only judge the output as fair--for straight text, even my //e 
hooked to my Panasonic 4420 laser printer at the same rated 300 dpi turns 
out better plain text.  (Obviously graphics are better from the PB, but 
then again, graphics have never been the strong point of the //e.  :) )
