Hi. The Apple 3.5 drive and the Unidisk 3.5 are completely different drives. I'm not sure that an Apple 3.5 controller will work with a Unidisk 3.5 in a //e. I thought you needed the Liron controller card to work with the Unidisk drives. Am I wrong here?

I do know that you can't daisychain a 3.5 and a 5.25 (or a duodrive) on the same controller on a //e. I believe that the IWM chip on the drive card will only work with one kind of drive, either it's a 5.25 controller card or a 3.5.

Hope this helps.

Hi!

I'd like to get/buy an Apple UniDisk 3.5" drive. I intend to connect
it to an Apple //e using the Apple 3.5" disk controller, so an Apple
3.5" or a Macintosh 800 kb external drive will not fit my needs. I
live in Spain. Please make your offers offlist.

By the way: can I connect *both* an UniDisk 3.5" and a DuoDisk to the
same Apple 3.5" disk controller, daisy-chaining the DuoDisk after the
UniDisk 3.5"? Will I be able to use both DuoDisk drives if I do that?
I currently have two floppy disk controllers in my //e (an standard
Disk ][ at slot 6 and an "Apple I/O" at slot 5), and have run out of
slots for disk controllers, so one of them will have to go out if I
want to use my new UniDisk 3.5" controller (thanks, Jeff! :-) ).
