I don't know anything about the ZipGS, so I won't comment about
it.  The TWGS would be fairly expensive to reproduce though.  As
for designing a new card, one which has a lower price tag, you
would need someone with the skill to do it, and the desire to do
it without being fairly compensated for their labour.

I doubt there would be any difference in the cost of a similarly
designed 6 MHz and 10 MHz model with modern components.  The
difference in price would come from the cache: you want a larger
cache on a faster CPU (because the cost of fetching stuff from the
IIgs's memory would be higher).
