Well, in the particular instance you provided, anyway. I'm not entirely convinced that most people will sell IIGSs (or any other vintage machine for that matter) for a mere $3 a pop. Chances are, if you want a IIGS, (or any other vintage machine) you can find a price that you're happy with. It's just a matter of being patient and doing your homework. Don't get me wrong: I like to see old gear kept in the "affordable" price range myself. It's just that everyone has a different definition of what "affordable" is; that's where a Free Market comes in.
