Incidentally, what state are you in? You don't have to tell me if you

get your machines at such a giveaway price. @_@
Located in Southern California, but I found these things on Ebay.
IMHO, the more affordable Apple II stuff is, the more people who will
still use it, or try it for the first time. THIS is what's best for
everyone.
I'd say what's "best" is if a Free Market is allowed to work on its
own. If
someone wants to charge, say, $300 for a IIGS, let 'em. Chances are, if
you
want a IIGS, (or any other vintage machine) you can find a price that
you're
happy with. It's just a matter of being patient and doing your homework.
Don't get me wrong: I like to see old gear kept in the "affordable" price
range myself. It's just that everyone has a different definition of what
"affordable" is; that's where a Free Market comes in.
I see my post has created a minor BRU-HA-HA, so let me tell everyone that
the reason I wrote this post is let those people trying to gouge the Apple
II market that this is an inherently inexpensive platform. Of course there
are rare and valuable hardware bits out there that we would all like to
get for next to nothing, and that's not realistic, and NOT what I'm
talking about.
But I'm sick of seeing something like this on ebay: "Rare Apple II GS
keyboard. Add this bit of history to your collection. $60."
