First of all thanks to all for your responses. Kinda like getting a
drink from a fire hose! <g>
I don't know what your procedure is on this server, but I hope it's ok
if I just make one
response for all to keep the traffic down. Please tell me if that's
wrong. BTW is there a FAQ or a procedure for the server?
So let me chew on your comments. Do some testing and try your
suggestions . Try to make my answers consistent and I'll post the
results when I have that done.
One comment. My ISP uses dynamic IP addresses. On the machines that
connect, an IP address shows in the PPP.log . On the machines that don't
connect there is no IP address in the PPP.log after the transaction.
