I've done some further checking.
The settings _did_ get changed in Arachne.cfg
(did not need to manually edit it)
I still have no explanation for why those settings were not working.
(they are working fine now)
And I still can't duplicate the problem.

If so. Have you been able to "break it" and then "fix it" again?
