I don't think that there is any way to hook arachne into zmodem protocol,
you would have to use bananacom to dial up for that. So, just use ftp, hit
the <alt>-t when you are in telnet mode from arachne. Log in and and start
browsing. When you have the ftp prompt, enter "help" for the list of
commands. I just tried to ftp DFN, it won't let me login as anonymous, but
I did get this message:

220-detroit.freenet.org FTP server (NcFTPd 2.0.3, free non-profit license)
    ready. 
220-Welcome to GDFN. 
220- 
220-The ftp server will allow you to move files in and out of your work
220-directory and any sub-directories. If you run into any problems, please 
220-email [EMAIL PROTECTED]
