I thought I'd mentioned it before, but the down and dirty is that
Win2000 [how they can modify for consumer use is beyond me] is nothing
more than WinNT *without* any DOS to fall back on.

I also heard that -- because it makes it impossible for people to use
any software except MicroSoft -- the ECM [or whatever the Eropean United
whatzits is called] plan to ban MS from exporting any of their Win2000
stuff to any member nations, since that type of "force out" or
exclusivity is supposedly banned.

As for where the MSplot leaves Arachne?  Right on any DOS machine, and
soon on Linux?
