Today I compared Netscape 4.7 to Arachne 1.61 again :))
Computer: pentium 200, 48 MB RAM
DOS: plenty memory free, 6 MB Cache
I used http://www.telescope.com to test it.
Netscape needed 19 seconds !
Arachne needed 2 minutes and 24 seconds !!!!!!!!!!
(I couldn't believe it, so I deleted the cache and loaded the page again
... now she needed 2 minutes and 56 seconds !!!)
So there is still much to do ....
