7x ! Probably all due to the multiple times Arachne does the page layout.
Thanks for posting that comparison.
Now I'm not the ONLY heretic out here.
I just loaded that page in 35 seconds with NS2.02/Win 3.11 (Javascript OFF)
My system was 33Mhz '486 with 12Mb ram and 800Kb cache.
What was your connection speed ? My receive baud rate was 31.2Kbaud.
