Yes, correct closed <PRE> constructs, no table involved.

Actually it's in local files, older version of eBooks that
was downloaded from MCP site. These eBooks are now moved
to http://www.informit.com/ and each pages are wrapped in
CGI-generated tables.
Off course you could still read the latest version, but
probably not with Arachne. Newer eBooks tends to have
snipets in separate pages, these and the chapters, are
invoked with javascript to open in new browser window.
Oh, BTW, ZIPped version of older MCP eBooks probably still
available for download at http://www.empowermentzone.com/
