>Let me say first off that I have onhand an upgrade .zip that contains ONLY
the new stuff in Arachne 1.64 so it can be used to overlay your existing
install without disturbing your current settings. About 283k zipped.

There is NO arachne.cfg or .pck in it. I THINK it's all there otherwise.
Email requests to me direct. I have no way to upload to Arachne yet.

Michael, I really think this is the way to go for upgrades. Most of us
hate re-installs. I understand that you need to get feedback on the whole
process and I'm going to try to give it - and I'm sure Glenn will too, but
the upgrade route is friendlier.

I too hate full reinstalls, would much prefer to unzip a .zip with (Infozip)
UNZIP and then copy ARACHNE.CFG (and ARACHNE.PCK?) from the previous version.
It's a nuisance to go through the same "wizards" redundantly. Installation of
1.62 quit somewhere in the middle, but I was able to run 1.62 after editing
ARACHNE.CFG with a text editor.

What happened to Arachne 1.63?

Is there something in http://arachne.cz or http://home.arachne.cz that generates
a temporary .html.gz file? This causes OS/2 Lynx to be unable to access
http://arachne.cz or http://home.arachne.cz, though DOS Lynx 386 2.8.3pre8 seems
to work OK. IBM Web Explorer (OS/2) can also access the Arachne site, but I was
unable to find the 1.64 download, will have to try again with DOS Lynx 386 when
I dialup from DOS.
