I've always typed "file" and look at the output (file.bat prints file_id.diz).

I assume you never had any problems with the 1.6 version that had my APM
version that passed another argument (the path to the download directory).
I will not add anoter argument to apm.exe because of the bad experience I
had with that attempt (although this is smaller).
