>According to information on their web-site, http://www.dialfree.net, you have
to provide them with your credit card number when you sign up. Also when you
sign up you will agree to let them charge your credit card if you fail to
repond to the survey form. I don't think they would terminate a user who
fails to respond to a survey form. They would probably be most happy to get
his money instead.

Sam,

I am naturally very reluctant to give my credit card number to a supposedly free
service. Suppose they are late sending the survey questionnaire, or forget
entirely? Or suppose they use a javascripted WWW form instead of email? Or
suppose their server is down when I respond? Giving a credit card number puts
Dialfree in the role of accuser, judge, jury and executioner.

I remember months ago, when I visited Netzero's Web site, Netzero would charge
$59.95 for a month where a user disabled the ads showing on screen.
