I agree with LD, with only probebly one diffrance: What I like to say
is, "if you cant join them, bypass them.". That is, if a site, for
example, require you to have "this and that" kind of thing to access
their site, and you know that your machine cant handle it, then instead
of going with the flow - just do something that will simply allow you
to skip it.

Glenn's shockwave file URL extractor is a good example. :)
We dont really want shockwave (most of us, anyway), and Arachne was
primary designed for machines that cant handle too much bloat.
So instead of getting a real shockwave plugin, you can simply
take the file, take out the really important stuff, and continue
on your way - without all the bells and whistels.
