The floppies themselves are standard 5 1/4 " high density, but formatted
slightly differently. I once installed a spare drive in an XT so I
could easily transfer files between the XT and my CPM box. A very long
time ago. Used driver.sys on the XT I think.
How old are the floppies ? <g> Not kidding. This thing is so efficient
you can (and I did) use one floppy diskette for 10 years.
The computer was made in 1983. The last gasp for CP/M I guess.
A 10Mb external HD was available but hardly ever needed.

Not that I know of. This thing has a 1200 baud modem in it and I used
it to connect remotely to the University computer system and I tried a
few BBSs.

Not really. Dir is still dir. But no subdirs. Names are 8.3.
Fewer commands. Some of it may seem a bit weird, like rename.
ren newfilename oldfilename. (I always get it wrong now)
But mostly just simpler than DOS where Linux is more complex.
Copy is an external command. i.e. you run a program to copy.
I actually have Wordstar for it and the same version for the PC.
You can't tell the difference.
Likewise Mbasic on the CPM box and Basica on the PC.
