Yes, this is very interesting. I'm glad you were able to get your thingy
to work. Did you need to re-wire any of the connectors? Did you use
an ordinary 25 pin serial cable to fit to your adaptor, or did you use a
25 pin null-modem cable? (They are wired differently so I understand.)
Maybe it is possible to acquire on the commercial market some kind of an
adaptor like the one you built. Maybe at Radio Shack or at some computer
supply store. I'll look for one.
