You said that you are running a 56K modem on a 486DX4 computer.
I have a question for you. I want to know, in your experience or
knowledge, whether or not your computer is capable of actually
operating at 56K? [Is it a 100MHz 486DX4]
That's my question. I need to know because I'm running a Toshiba T4800CT
486DX4-75MHz notebook computer with US Robotics Courier PCMCIA 14.4Kbps modem.
I want to upgrade it to a faster modem. Can anybody tell me if I would be
wasting my money in buying a 56Kbps modem?
Would a 486DX4-75MHz system only be capable of fully utilizing say a
28.8 or 33.6Kbps modem? Or could it fully use a 56Kbps modem?
