Such a computer is said to be capable of connecting at 56K.  I don't
know whether your telephone lines are capable of providing such high
speed.

Did anyone on the list fail to receive the message I have quoted above?
Alejandro is asking us to confirm by email reception of the message.  I
CC'd this my reply to him.  I can well understand his concern about his
messages possibly not getting through.  His ISP might be in danger of
getting shut down because it is used very frequently by spammers.  This
has been going on for many months.  There have been many complaints and
his ISP does not seem at all concerned about cleaning up its act.  I hope
they will employ some positive measures to fix the problem.
