Hi Steve, Michael;
I certainly agree re: mc. Without Midnight Commander, the Linux newbie
(that's me) would be totally out of luck.
Of course the downside is that it's a crutch that lets you get away with
not learning enough about Linux. <G>
The point of including Michael in this reply is to suggest he follow
YOUR suggestion for Linux Arachne, and do something similar for DOS
Arachne.
There are freeware DOS clones of MC available. ;-)
Don't spend your valuable time writing a NEW one.
