Install bugs get rarer by the day, here, but here's one that seems
unwilling to surrender...
Arachne runs nicely under win95. Miniterm dials without delay, video runs
as in Dos, and so does insight.
Not termin.com though. All installs fail to return to arachne, when termin
is invoked by alt-h, and when I enter "termin 0x60 after I shell to dos,
termin just won't return to the c:\> prompt.
Can anyone confirm this?
(I start arachne from a direct link to arachne.bat on the desktop. She
starts in a box, then takes full screen. Alt-e returns to a box. If termin
hangs, I can't kill the box, because the mouse is hardly useable. I don't
think it's a common irq conflict, because ctrl-esc and alt-tab won't work
either. ctrl-alt-del brings up windows' process list, but the window won't
react to either enter or escape. Another three finger salute does force a
reboot though.)
