The number of filehandles depends on the applications you use.
(usually 20-50 should be enough)

BUFFERS depends on wether you have a cache loaded or not.
If you have a cache loaded than 5-10 buffers are enough.
If you don't have a cache loaded, than load one ;)))
(or set buffers higher 30-50)

Summa summarum: files=30 buffers=10 and a cache should be OK ;)
