How does one do that? On rare occasions I have gotten "out of
evironment space" errors when shelling out of Arachne to DOS.

I'm using  MS-DOS 6.22. 

I also get the memory allocation error on occasion, but so far no
smiley faces in Arachne.cfg.

Afraid I can't help more with diagnosis--my install of 1.70,v3 seems
more stable recently since I cleaned up a lengthy path statement
caused by multiple installs.

Previously I was getting fairly regular crashes, but I could never
discern a pattern.
