Well, I have e:1024 set, and I got smileys and a trashed ARACHNE.CFG
with A1.70rev3. So I don't think environment space is necessarily
involved directly.
On the other hand, it may be just one of the things that can trigger
something else that IS responsible for a smiley attack.
Clarence, yes I know it is more than you have, but I was getting "out of
environment space" errors with other DOS progs that I use, when the
environment was lower. I just kept doubling it until they stopped, and
(thanks to you and others) I still end up with 620 kb of low DOS memory.
