I wrote about _private_ IPs ... these are IPs used in networks not directly
connected to the internet (you could masquerade them ..)
If you need more than that, you could use the private class B net, or the
private class A net (10.X.X.X)
This should be enough for everyone. (tm) ;))

If you speak about non-private IPs, than there is IPv6 on it's way ...
(providing 48 bit IP addresses ... so 2^48 IP addresses should be enough
for everybody as well (tm) ;))
[PS: Linux already support IPv6]
