;-)
You don't need a proxy (you can use one however). What you need is a
gateway doing NAT (Network Address Translation). There are programs to do
this for probably all OS.

It doesn't need DNS capability (but once more you can have it), it needs
DHCP/BOOTP for Arachne to be able to use that.
