I totally misunderstood.
Miniterm doesn't show it either, unless you have terminal mode enabled.

But BOTH will write it to ppp.log, so maybe what you want is either an
.ASF that writes ppp.log to the screen before going on to your home page
or, some neat program that extracts the proper line from ppp.log and puts
it somewhere where ARACHNE MSG can display it on the status line.

I, personally, would LOVE to see some of the internal Arachne commands be
more flexible and useful.

So Michael, if you are reading, could it be possible to have ARACHNE MSG
read a file ?
BTW, with Arachne 1.66 or 1.70 Arachne MSG doesn't work, at least in 16colors.

Try clicking on (oooh I _hate_ that phrase) the version # on the top screen
frame. This should get you Arachne:about. The internal message doesn't appear
on the status bar for me.

In fact, with Arachne A1.70, pointing at the VER# and hitting enter makes
the cursor fly to the first link on the page. :(
A1.66 is a little better behaved, but no message.
