Dear List:
Arachne (1.7 r3) has begun to act strangely on me. While she
has no problem surfing the web, she won't drop into DOS (<Alt>+E)
-- or perform any other functions which require doing so, such as
running MiniTerm, erasing the cache, or listing files in a
directory.
Every time I try to initiate any function that would require
her to drop into DOS, Arachne flat quits. Two error messages
are displayed: Bad command or file name and then Abnormal Arachne
termination; please reboot your system and/or restart Arachne.
This termination does not result in a lock-screen, however.
I'm running on a 486 SX with 32M memory.
Does anybody have any idea what's happening here and what to
do about it?
