Terri,

Sounds like maybe Arachne.bat got contaminated somehow, or maybe the
shell dgi file.

Find some empty space on your drive and "install" 1.73r3 just long
enough to pull out Arachne.bat and /system/dgi/dosshell.bat and see if
replacing them fixes things.
