The P655 monitor I have has a problem. The buttons on the front, which
take me to the menu to adjust screen rendition, have stopped working
correctly. "1" gives me the menu, but up & down arrows don't move the
highlight anywhere. Instead they act to select contrast/brightness and
attempts to adjust there simply lead to higher & higher values for
contrast &/or brightness. Even the "2" button doesn't always work to
get out of that.
So I'm stuck with a monitor that's adjusted in a way I don't want, and
which I cannot change.
Do you have any *software* I could install [at DOS level] which would
take over the tasks that the buttons no longer allow?
If you don't have DOS software to do this, can you tell me the size
hammer to use, and where to tap, to make this monitor do what it's
supposed to when it comes to adjusting the screen?
thank you
l.d.
P.S. I read how ViewSonic is all in favor of customer support when I
finally managed to find the support/index.html page. Why don't you have
a direct link to "support" from the main www.viewsonic.com opening page?
Not everyone knows to cross their fingers and link to "drivers" in an
effort to find the support pages.
