My sediments exactly Roger. But I call them hieroglyphs.
I can understand the manufacturer's desire to put a single picture on the
dash of your car instead of a message in a different language for every
country he wishes to ship to, but computers and their periherals are a
different matter - there is very little expense involved in having screen
buttons and menus in selectable languages.

Consider Samsung 753DF or 755DF for 17" or 955DF for 19".
An incredible FLAT screen - better looking as far as flatness goes than
Viewsonic - but Samsung doesn't go to 21".
Possibly 1/2 to 2/3 the price of Viewsonic.
The 753DF is now about 330.xx in Canada.
That's about 200.xx in real money. <G>
