It's fantastic how big the BMP is ...
look at PNG:

PATH.BMZ        19967   1.04.01  21:16
PATH.png        20521   2.04.01  10:04
path.zbm        17185   2.04.01   3:27

It's bigger by 3336 bytes, but it is supported directly by most browsers.
(including arachne, netscape, ie, opera, ....)

And the GZipped version is also smaller than 20 k.

Naturally NOT (!!!!)
ZIP is looseless compression.
The decompressed file is byte equal to the original file !!!
