Here in the Colonies, "lemonade" is never fizzy or carbonated. There
are many lemon flavored, carbonated beverages sold in cans and bottles
--but they are never called "lemonade".

"Lemonade" is just lemon juice, sugar and water--often with lemon
slices floating in it and most often homemade, or at least made from
fresh lemons.

There are commercial lemonades available in cans and bottles, but if
it's carbonated, it's then considered a soda or a "soda pop".

"Ade" drinks can also be made from limes or oranges.

But, at any rate, it appears that the lemonade is not the key
ingredient anyway, at least in the "Brandy Shandy". <grin>
