to L.D. Best (and others with cable modems): Do Ethernet cards generally come with DOS packet driver; otherwise, where do you find DOS packet driver? By the way, I can again boot Linux, and can mount Iomega Zip 250 external SCSI, but when I try to mount the CD-ROM, system hangs: I can type, but the only system response is to echo on screen what I type. CD-ROM is Texel, now Plextor, internal SCSI, on same Trantor T130B SCSI as the Zip 250. I have Linux Slackware 7.1.
