Ethernet cards do NOT generally come with DOS packet drivers; as far as
I could find, *only* 3Com bothers.
As for accssing SCSI stuff ... some adapters may need to be tweaked in
certain ways to handle some Linux stuff, IIRC And could you advise
which device you have the CD-ROM set up as?
You see, with all the SCSI adapters I've had, device addresses 0 and 1
are restricted to HDDs, and you must go to 2-6 for other types of
devices. The "zip" drive can probably get away with being placed on a
HDD address, since you *can* boot from them ... but the CD-ROM may not
speak the right language and may need to set for a different address.
