I didn't get so far off topic solely on my own. Whenever anyone
makes an off-topic comment dircted to someone else on the list,
then the other party feels compelled to respond. Some responses
can be quite lengthy. I have seen this kind of thing happen many
times on this list. Risci and myself are not the only ones guilty
of instigating lengthy off-topic discussions.

Went there. Interesting and very informative article. I believe
almost all US voters were aware that Al Gore's concerns to clean
up the environment were among his top priorities. An overwhelming
majority of Americans including myself support Al Gore's positions
on environmental issues. Almost everyone knew that Al Gore would
have been far more friendly to the environment than G.W. Bush. If
Al Gore had taken a more conservative stance on some of the other
very important issues he would have easily won the election. If he
had dropped some of the most untidy packages in the heavy baggage
he was carrying around from the previous administration he could
have run much better and he would have easily won the race.
