But the packetdriver has nothing to do with this at all.

What matters is:
a If the Internet connection is accessible through "Ethernet" or "PPP over 
Ethernet"
b The ADSL modems DHCP compatability (ie. mine is really bad and the one 
Clarence has isn't fully working either).
