I am normally connected to that modem via a Freesco router and then
a Dlink router. I assume the BOOTP/DHCP interchange takes place between
my computer and the first router.
If I bypass the first router and plug directly into the Dlink the result
is exactly the same. Arachne and SSHDOS work, Telnet doesn't.
BTW Arachne reconfigures itself via BOOTP/DHCP something like 20 to 50
times per hour - it seems to be every time I do ANYTHING - like access
my inbox or save some mail etc and every time a remote page download
completes.
