Baastian, Mel and group-
Thanks for the info regarding sound card. I ended up getting a hard
drive that my father thought was bad. When I bought this machine I also
bought a HD selector. The plan was to have windoze on one (with BeOS)
and on the other HD I wanted DrDOS and Linux. I found that the HD from
my father worked ok and was able to load Dos and Linux RH7.0.
So.......in doing this I found my soundcard is a PCI type and with LINUX
I am able to detect the card and play cd's etc. So maybe if I can
figure how, I want to setup PSK31 (ham digital stuff) using Linux.
Mel- qrp here big time. Yes, I post to the QRP-L every once in awhile.
Been qrp for over six years now and really enjoy homebrewing.

I haven't worked much dx but really get a thrill, even to this day, when
my 900mW cw xcvr makes a contact with a station running 100w + and I get
a 579!
All the best 73/72-
