Not very big. 50k max.
I frequently ran into a limit when using it to write programs, so I
devised a method of sectioning them and auto-concatenation before
assembly.
I don't write books with it, but one could conceivably section the
book into chapters as long as they didn't exceed about 25 pages each.;-0
