Nothing happens. I don't get disconnected. I can sit here all day and I don't get disconnected. My ISP even promises not to disconnect and doesn't, even after hours of inactivity. I once forgot to hangup and came back after work a good ten hours later and still had a live connection. But if I'm *inside the Insight editor* I will always get disconnected. Depending on net traffic, sunspots, or who knows what, I will get disconnected within five or six minutes at the most. Maybe in rare cases I can go longer than that, but eventually the modem clicks and I'm gone, even though Arachne still thinks I'm online. I have to then manually tell Arachne to hangup with alt-h and redial. The behavior is consistent and just as Sam H. describes it.
