> Opera 6.0x has usenet. Its email part works quite nice. It would be better if it did straight ASCII 39 apostrophes instead of these screwy upper-ASCII things that look like something else, depending on the viewing software. In this case the apostrophe shouldn't be there at all (possessive its: no apostrophe), I don't wish to sound like the grammar police.
> UKA_PPP plus YARN make an exellent duo for offline usenet and email. > I use it in a 286 and a 586 with an hercules monitor. > You can configure it so you only see the message text, without any other menu, etc. > Its like reading a book. A boom for text_only fanatics. > With VGA you can choose fore and background colors. > The only drawback is thart it is even more dificult to configure than PMAI for DOS. > ------------------------ > Ing. Alejandro Lieber > LIMA S.A. > Rosario Argentina > ------------------------ I'm inclined to think UKA_PPP is more difficult to configure than Linux or NetBSD. Then there is KA9Q for DOS, discussed in newsgroup demon.ip.support.pc But the thought that KA9Q may also be more difficult to configure than Linux or NetBSD undermines my incentive to attempt to configure KA9Q. What is PMAI? What is "Ing." in Ing. Alejandro Lieber? Ingenieur? I have seen this Ing. title in other languages but not English.
