Dial up shell accounts are rare in many places. But remote shell
accounts that you can "telnet" into don't have to be local. They
can be anywhere on the Internet. Sam H. lives in Virgina and the
shell account he uses "sdf.lonestar.org" is located in Texas. You
could use an account on that same system from Ohio or China. And you
could do that with DOS and Arachne via telnet.
