Thanks for the information. There are little questions about it for me, because this will be my first distupgrade under arch: 1) After "pacman -Syu" can i reboot to initlevel 3 with my own 2.6.13-ck6 which includes nvidia and kqemu or have i to choose the new archkernel26 for the first boot? 2) Have i to compile only the kde/qt based own packages or things as at example wine-20041019 (this version works well for me so i have frozen it) too? I ask this because gcc4 will be included too if i will upgrade. 3) In the case of own packages as at example kmymoney2 or kdiff3 what is the better way to compile it: Forcing it with "makepkg -f" or setting the up "pkgrel" one number higher? At the moment for me it looks better to edit "pkgrel" and let pacman upgrade all this. 4) "- structural changes in KDE": Are there any things what i have to do or all will be done by upgrading to the new kdebase?
