Thank you, John. However, the first words in the quoted portion of the process 
are: “In consultation with ARIN’s GC”. Nothing in that process prevents the 
Chair from asking the GC for a draft, then sending it to the nominee as-is.

Not that it matters. Whether you believe it sounds like a lawyer letter or not, 
it provided no actual reasoning for keeping the nominee off the slate. 

As I said at the open mic, I am not complaining about the volunteers who gave 
their time to the NomCom. I am upset with the structure of the NomCom. An 
opaque committee selected by the board with zero accountability who gets to 
choose the slate is the exact opposite of how a community organization should 
run.
